Ashby Decorator Centre now open again!
After a challenging start to the year, Ashby Decorator Centre and designerpaintstore.com are now fully back open.
Throughout the lock down period, we were running a click and collect service from our shop in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire, something we were glad to do to help protect ourselves and the wider community during this time. Our website, designerpaintstore.com was fully operational throughout the lock down. We were so pleased to see an increase in online orders, and many customers using our click & collect service to buy their designer paints and limit social contact even further. We re-opened our doors again in line with Government guidance on the 12th April and were so pleased to be able to serve our customers face to face again, after many months of taking orders over the telephone.
We have used some of our lock down time to make improvements to both our website and our store. The shop has been re-decorated, using the paints and wallpapers we sell. We wanted to give the store a fresh new look for when customers we're allowed back in store again.We have used paints and wallpapers from Sanderson, Zoffany, Farrow and Ball, Fenwick & Tilbrook, Today Interiors and Little Greene. So please feel free to pop in for a look if you're in the area.
Designerpaintstore.com has also had a re-vamp to help our customers. We now offer a customer account service, and have a discount code section in the basket area. This will allow us to run promotions and offer discounts from time to time so keep a look out for those, in our Current Special Offers section. Customers can now track their orders more easily and we have improved our customer communications overall. This is also something we will look to continually improve.
Throughout this year and next year we have many more improvements planned, and are always looking for new brands to work with, which bring our customers the highest quality paints and decorating materials. Being an independent store allows us to research different brands. Only paints that have been tested by us and we are confident to sell will make it into our store and on to our website. We don't believe in selling brands that do not match our, and our customers high standards. We are also continually looking on our environmental impact and have made several improvements to our packaging. This is something we take very seriously. We have re-designed several boxes to use less packaging materials, making some boxes smaller and out of thinner cardboard. Testing showed that these boxes are just as effective during tansportation and do not increase damages. We also make sure that as much of the packaging we use is re-cycleable and bio-degrade-able as possible. For more information on this please see Our Packaging.
